Pittsburgh 250 Portfolio at AIR
AIR (Artist Image Resource) presented the "Pittsburgh 250 Portfolio" this past Saturday at their Northside studio, to celebrate new work by multimedia and video artist Jerstin Crosby and screen printing artist Michael Hegedus.  In addition, AIR also celebrated the completion and signing of the Pittsburgh 250 Portfolio which was created by seven resident artists. The artists include: Arne Svenson, Glenn Kaino, Hiroki Otsuka, Shepard Fairey, Delainie Jenkins, John Ritter and Nick Bubash. The Pittsburgh 250 Portfolio began in 2008 as a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of Pittsburgh, it was a part of of Pittsburgh's 250th Anniversary Arts Project lead by art curator and former Andy Warhol Museum director Tom Sokolowski and was supported by the Heinz Endowments and the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh.  The goal of the project is to help build and support the foundation of art making in Pittsburgh for the next 250 years.

  AIR is a creative source that provides artists with access to traditional processes such as lithography, letterpress, intaglio and screenprinting; it is home to artists such as Shepard Fairey,Michael Budai and John Ritter.

Excuse me while I shriek at the TOP OF MY LUNGS!!!!!!!  Ahem....ok.....I'm good.  What could possibly make me this excited you say? This evening I was able to get a sneak peak of the February/March 2012 Issue of Maniac Magazine at their blogger event held in Southside Works.  The issue, featuring Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale, dedicates itself to the ultimate topic of the month: Love. It's loaded with fun and racy Valentine's looks, makeup tips, and other juicy articles (Hello Tyson Ritter!!).

 Maniac Magazine is all about being adventurous, creative, and especially yourself!  The magazine has a great team behind them that set the example for such an attitude - a band of stylish, jet-setting, busy yet always glamorous people. In this issue the always stylish Pittsburgh socialite,event planner and Maniac, Pam McMahon gives an inspiring account on how she was able to make it to where she is today.
